DANCE HOLIDAY CAMP

Program Description

The dance camp focuses on technique, grace, flexibility, agility, and strength. We provide instruction in which choreographers provide ballet, hip hop, jazz, and contemporary dance instruction. Camp offers the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and meet other dancers in an exciting and inter-active environment.

$45/day half day (9am – 12noon)
$50/day half day w/ before care (8am – 12noon)

INSTRUCTOR & SHORT BIO

Rachel Fagan - Originally from Utica NY, Rachel began her dance training early on, under Jamie Sitera at The Dance Academy. She Completed the Royal Academy of Dance exams with training from Anuschka Roes, of Canada's National Ballet School. Rachel performed with the Leatherstocking Ballet while serving as the Ballet Mistress and performing roles such as the Lilac Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty, Tinkerbell in Peter Pan, and Dew Drop Fairy and Arabian Coffee in The Nutcracker. After high school, Rachel attended Mercyhurst University, where she earned a degree in dance with a concentration in Pedagogy and a minor in Social Welfare. While at Mercyhurst University, Rachel performed in Tomm Ruud's "Mobile" staged by Christopher Ruud of Ballet West. Rachel also performed with the Mercyhurst Dancers in Paquita, Cinderella, and numerous contemporary works. She also performed with the Liturgical Dance Ensemble in Project Dance in Time Square, NYC. After graduation Rachel moved to Georgia to dance with the Atlanta Festival Ballet until she decided that is was time to pursue teaching.
